Neil Fratus - For Crawford County Sheriff
Neil Fratus was born in Titusville and has been a resident of the Northwest Pennsylvania for most of his life. He graduated from Titusville High School in 1996. Neil has always had interest in helping others. He served as a Jr. Firefighter and a Volunteer Firefighter/EMT for the Pleasantville Volunteer Fire Department while he was in high school. After high school, Neil worked with the Community Ambulance Service as an EMT for the Oil City/Franklin Region in Venango County and as a Line Leader/Supervisor at Weyerhauser in Titusville.
In 2006, Neil was hired at the Crawford County Sheriff’s office where he attended the Sheriff’s Academy at Penn State University. During his 13 years with the Sheriff’s office Neil worked his way up the ranks from Deputy Sheriff to Lieutenant, then Chief Deputy Sheriff. For the last six years, Neil served as the Chief Deputy Sheriff. Neil also served on multiple committees, groups, and task forces. These groups include: United States Marshall’s Fugitive Task Force, the Crawford County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Board of Directors, and the Masonic Lodge. Neil is CPR/first aid, Taser, and basic SWAT certified. Neil currently lives in Meadville with his wife, Arlene, and his youngest son.
